911

Second day of middle school. 6th grade at that time. Very fresh, everything was new.
Dad was watching CNN @ 7AM and I was surprised he stayed at home. First plane had already crashed. They were reporting it as an accident. We stayed at home . I thought it was more like a movie I was watching. How can a plane crash into such a building like that. They were reporting how evacuations were hectic. Other planes had gone rogue. NYC was under attack. Smoke was rising. Then complete horror as a second plane hits. Even the anchors crys in horror. Insane. My god. I've never imagined something like that. Reports go insane. Every channel on TV turns to news. Everything was news that day. It's "terrorism" I watched Peter Jennings. He was irrationally calm. Describing the events. Reports of a plane into Pentagon. No video of that. Shots of amatuer video of the first crash. Things beccome scary. This nation has come under attack. I still go to school. But everyone talks about it. Everyone at school is tuned in to watch. More reports of who'd done it. Ideas spring up almost instantly of Al-Qaeda and how they bombed a ship USS COLE earlier
