Neurosurgeon starting salary after residency outside of highly competitive areas is 2mil+, not counting bonuses. Radiologists can make more, as can neuro ophthalmologists. If you start your own practice, you can potentially make 5mil+ net, if you are in a good area with constant patients coming in. Working for a hospital, you are working average 8 hours about half of the year if you count the month or two of paid sick leave, and paid CME vacations/regular vacations. Own practice you can make more but work a lot a lot more unless you have a shitload of techs and other doctors working with you. If you are a radiologist and can buy your own machines (multimillion dollar machines) you can charge insurance UP THE ASS and are going to be a multimillionare. You're telling me comp sci makes more?
