Comic Con

Holy smokes. Saturday is the most packed day of the convention. Come prepared. Know what to get, and bring money ($200). Don't spend all your time in the exhibit hall. Go to the special shows on top or where else. If you can bus the way there. Parking is about 20-25$. Since the trolley, that'd be smart. Most people choose to eat subway for lunch. But there's two subways. Just go further down the *uh* main road.
The vidya games/movies/ DC/ Marvel were packed. Unwalkable. I rage at the cosplayers/camhres who stopped traffic for a good 2 minutes. Bring deodorant. It's smelled like a human mash pit/ rave. Be patient in the lines. Enter the convention from the EFGH part and not ABCD since the latter is not navigable.
I just went yesterday. Amazing, but I was exhausted after 3 hours of walking.

Comic-con looks now like a bit of a entertainment convention. There were some parts that reminded me of the former E3, a bit of premiering new movies, meeting star casts, and getting autographs. You'll see some internet comic dudes, like cyanide and happiness; newgrounds has their own booth.
But the majority of it all is to buy some niche-artist swag. You can take pictures of the cosplayers, meet new people, purchase comics for decent prices. Trades were like $20-40 (hardcover). Definitely a lot, less nerdy than I imagined. It's very youthful, and because of Twilight there's an equal amount of girl- guy ratio. So yeah, I'd go again. Beautiful part of San Diego too, if you've never been.
