Vice Presidents actually don't have much power, which is why Clinton never wanted that role. If anything Biden gets another shot by default, and if not him then Russ Feingold (?)
Why? Clinton easily wins the Southern Democrats (her husband), East Coast (her turf), and California (which voted Clinton over Obama. Her weakest point, which also can swing is the Midwest.
VP is mostly nominal, and needs a male because no way independents vote for two females. Needs to be an aged Democratic Senator to balance the ticket. To make the race competitive across the country. Moderate, then the better?
Russ Feingold
Voted against the Patriot Act
Voted against the Iraq War
Voted against NAFTA
Voted against Geithner
Endorses Single Payer Healthcare
Legislated Corporate money out of elections
Senator 18 years. Worked with Republicans, well respected.
A slam dunk for leftist Democrats.
No one from the right can beat a Hilary/Feingold ticket.
